As for forks, while many of the forks in the network did not contain unattributed Morphe code,
GitHub policy is to disable the entire network if we attest that we believe that most of the forks are infringing to the same extent as the parent repository.

There appears to have been a miscommunication with GitHub in this respect, and we have contacted them to see if they can re-enable forks that do not contain the offending commits.

No shit duh, did they not read what they submitted?  flat out admission of falsely stating `most of the forks are infringing` in the DMCA takedown.

The funny part?  They also strike themselves, see wchill own archived fork of revanced-patches: https://github.com/wchill/revanced-patches

This just shows it's an overly broad DMCA takedown and utter incompetency rather than malicious takedown.

Now they are just hoping github would do the work to reenable and unstrike those innocent repos, one example might be vividhues, last updated sometime in May 2025 from what's available on web.archive.org .

It doesn't take a genius to just use the fork page to get a list of those that updated in the last 6 months and use that list in the DMCA,
if GitHub took everything down because there's over 100 forks, then it would had been on GitHub, see below for an example as of writing.

Using revanced-patches-template as an example because revanced-patches is still taken down.

There are 494 forks, and using the fork page with some basic filtering using the UI,
There were only 56 forks that been updated since 6 months ago, that's about 11% of the forks.

The revanced-patch repo had 702 forks, even assuming 20% was infringing, over 560 forks would had been needlessly dragged into this DMCA mess.
